TF2mate: advanced scoreboard view
One of TF2mate’s potential strengths is implementing all kinds of small tweaks by default that you might forget to install when making your configs manually. An example is the advanced scoreboard view. I’ve stolen this idea from flame’s competitive configs.
Instead of using the default +showscores command, we implement a custom +mate_scores command that also toggles net_graph and prints the time left for the map. The alias looks like this:
alias +mate_scores "+showscores;net_graph 4"
alias -mate_scores "-showscores;net_graph 0;timeleft"
To take advantage of this and numerous other features of TF2mate, create your configs now with TF2mate! Make sure to take backups :)
I coded this little thing today. It’s not even nearly finished, but I want to release it so that I’ll have some motivation to develop it.
Any feedback, bug reports and feature suggestions appreciated very much.
My new setup
I’ve ordered the parts for my new computer.
Some specs:
- Case: Fractal Design Define R3
- CPU: Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz
- Motherboard: Asus P6T SE I-X58 S1366 ATX
- GFX: 1280MB Palit GeForce GTX 470 GDDR5
- Power supply: 750W Seasonic X-Series X-750 80+ Gold Modular
- Memory: 3x 2048MB Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 CL9
- OS+games HDD: 80GB Intel X25-M G2 Postville 2.5” SSD
- Storage: 2x 1000GB Samsung SpinPoint F3 HD103SJ 7200U/m 32MB 3,5”
- Display: Samsung 2233RZ 22” 120hz
I’ve already got the case and the display. R3’s side panels are the hardest to open I’ve ever encountered, but I managed to open it without scratching the paint or breaking my fingers. Hopefully the rest of the installation will go smoother :P
